April 2021, amongst many anniversaries there’s also 30 years since the six day trip of  Diana to Brazil. It would turn out to be her only ever visit to the country, in April 1991, alongside with prince Charles.

In 1991, the must anticipated separation between the royal couple was leading the news, but they kept a façade in public as a united couple. Still, looking closely, it was a bit obvious. Before a year over the trip they called it quits.

The official visit was the first since Charle’s 1978 and it were busy six days . Charles gociswd on enviroment related meetings and Diana, o followed closely by fans and reporters, visited orphanages and victims of AIDS. They were only together on official lunches or dinners. Even then, keeping their distance.

In Rio, Diana split her time between sightseeing and official meetings. Some paparazzi distubrd her while she was trying swim, alone.

Diana’s outfits, as usual were signed by Catherine Walker. The kne shoulder dress she were in Brasilia is amongst one of her most iconic looks.

Diana has also been to the Cataratas of Iguaçu.

The last stop was in the North, the Amazon, where they planted a tree that gave its first fruit in 2019. After six days, it was the only stop they were registered smiling together. It was also there, Fiana showed signs if stress with the photographers.

Upon their return to London, Diana and Charles went on their separate way. Less than a year later, they announced tbeir separation. A material that will be out of The Crown’s Season 5.
