Why is it good to have Insecure on Netflix?

Insecure is one of HBO’s best ‘secrets’ of recent years. The series updates the concept of friendship between four women, but this time black and in Los Angeles. It was contemporary with the trendy Girls, which spoke of four young and ‘poor’ friends in Brooklyn, New York, but in my opinion, superior in quality. The big difference is in the brilliance of Issa Rae, the showrunner and star of the series who brought diversity to the screen and fun and exciting content.

There are many love stories, in particular, we are waiting for Issa to return to Lawrence (Jay Ellis) the “leaning” boyfriend that she dumps and then kind of regrets. When the two can hit it off, there’s cool Nathan (Kendrick Sampson) in the mix, but before that, a lot of other relationships are in jeopardy. But the most interesting thing is the love between friends, and in this case, it is the brilliant Yvonne Orki as Molly Carter who steals the show.

That’s right, Insecure’s romantic backbone is Issa-Lawrence, but her unlikely conflicted friendship with the lawyer is what she entertains and cheers us on. They met in college and bonded as adults in Los Angeles, but unlike Sex and the City, where the friends fell out but always got back together, there’s more to every relationship. It’s great to be able to get back to her! If you don’t subscribe to HBO Max, don’t miss this chance!
