Loki 2: date, trailer, and a lot of expectations

I was one of the most passionate about the first season of Loki, which followed WandaVision at a time when it could easily be slaughtered. In addition, with comings and goings in timelines in addition to the suspense about the great new antagonist of Marvel’s current phase, there was so much that could go wrong that today we see how the following series ‘lost’ in the narrative or budget. For these reasons and more, having October 6 confirmed as the day the God of Mischief returns, as well as the full trailer, makes us anxious again.

You can tell we’re picking up where we left off, with Loki (Tom Hiddleston), helped by Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan, debuting in the Marvel universe), looking for Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) and Kang (Jonathan Majors), in a complex network of multiverses and variants to try to get the timeline right, or at least one of them.

After the lukewarm reaction to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Secret Invasion, Loki is left with the burden of resuming the prestige of the franchise, but I don’t think it will take magic. It’s fantastic.

In addition to bringing back characters that won over audiences, Loki’s narrative proved to be accurate in its questions as well as its adventure. Fans celebrate Ke Huy Quan‘s participation (I’m not one of them), but worry that real-life legal problems could threaten Jonathan Majors‘ stay in the universe, which would be a problem because not only is Kang sensational, but essential for a good time. There’s an endless list of easter eggs that connect the Marvel movies to this new season of Loki, as well as perfect quotes from the time periods they’ll be set in, from the 1970s to the early 20th century.

Tom Hiddleston is dominating Loki like never before and its conclusion, alluding to his participation in 007, shows that the humor remains strong. Loki promises to enchant us!
