Love is more violent and dangerous in Operation Lioness

The objective of Special Operation Lioness is to insert an agent close to a suspect’s wife or daughter to gain information and provide the best time to kill him. If there are more casualties on the way, so be it. And in the first scene, we see that everyone can quickly become casualties. So getting to the sixth episode of the Paramount Plus series and having an unexpected turn is important. After all, it is assumed that abused and naturally needy people do well in situations of risk and violence, but everything can go down the drain when their breaking point is precisely a sentimental connection. That’s right, we got to the heart of the story of the series Special Ops: Lioness where Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) had everything to be perfect for the mission, but her lack of affection was not even calculated by herself. Aaliyah’s (Stephanie Nur) fault, which as hinted at in the previous episode, means something else to her.

Well done to Joe (Zoe Saldaña)! That’s what you get when considering sociopaths have everything compartmentalized. Cruz has never been treated well in her life and it’s irresistible to have someone looking after you and caring about you. And for Aaliyah, who longs for adventure and autonomy, a hidden romance is all she can dream of to live a great love. With a man it would be risky, but with a friend? Recipe for tragedy.

The sixth episode focuses on the domestic life of the three female “Liones”, something that only adds to the anxiety. We will get there.

Following what we are following, as a result of the mess made in parallel with his team, Joe ‘loses’ autonomy in his mission with Cruz. It’s Kaitlyn’s (Nicole Kidman) superiors who will have the final word on everything and obviously, it’s not a simple change of command. Secretary Edwin Mullins (Morgan Freeman) is a man of few words but total command. The order is to kill, soon and whoever is in the place – the wedding – will be collateral. Joe shrugs, Cruz knows the risks. From what is drawn in the episode, the one who doesn’t really know is Joe.

Before heading to the White House, Kaitlyn tries to find out more from her husband about what’s going on, but their relationship is stranger than Joe’s with her husband, Neil. Kaitlyn’s union is one of tacit coexistence of secrets, and a trivial conversation soon becomes a negotiation of exchanging information, without ever letting their guard down. Cruz’s physical violence in her previous relationships seems small compared to the psychological weight of this marriage. No woman is in a safe or healthy place on this show, rich, poor, in charge or not. Scary. But, back to the odd couple.

Kaitlyn is able to understand that they are after who infiltrated an oil company, something she reveals without naming names for context. The double agent works at Kudra Petrol and is not “one of ours”, she explains, adding that the target “runs what we call a kind of bank for terrorists”, in her words. If the CIA eliminates him, $80 million worth of black market oil supposedly circulates commercially in the United States, something economically interesting for them.

Two plus two: the target is Aalyiah’s fiancé Ehsan, the real Saudi man who is alleged to have ties to OPEC CEO Kudra Patrol and whom we saw glued to his cell phone the entire time he was in the Hamptons. His days are numbered. But equally those of the guests or whoever is at the ceremony.

The unexpected passion between Cruz and Aalyiah may be the link that makes everything go wrong, but from the beginning, we knew the story was heading towards this difficult decision between the two. There is no connection between Cruz and her immediate boss, Joe, so her loyalty will certainly go to the first person who cared for her without expecting anything in return. We’re still not sure how much Aalyiah is 100% innocent of everything around her is what she says, but she’s so smart I still doubt it. Being the daughter of an Iranian-backed militia leader in Iraq should make her check out the people around her, especially Cruz. However, she apparently acts like a spoiled young woman who has chosen a stranger as her new pet. We’ve already heard that Cruz isn’t the first… what happened to the others? Let’s not leave the clues halfway!

The ‘spa day’ provided to “relax” Cruz is the opposite of the torture treatment she received from Joe. Joe has trained Cruz to retain information under violence, but Aalyiah is lovingly and lovingly interrogating her, right where Lioness’s soft spot is. Bright! I’m talking, let’s keep an eye on Aalyiah! Joe warned Cruz, “Three days alone with this girl, every lie you tell her she’ll remember.” Underestimating the enemy always makes for good stories.

Before closing, Joe and Neil are trying to get their family back together, especially after the
