It’s funny that due to the importance of what happened in Physical, the episode was “short” and without big news.
Fast-forward to Sheila (Rose Byrne) still struggling with her destructive voice and separated from her partner, Greta (Dierdre Friel). It has not been easy. She is contractually obligated to support “healthy” food brands, and this puts her at odds with the truth. Her rival, real and imaginary, Kelly Kilmartin (Zooey Deschanel) is working with Greta and we know how balance has never been our anti-heroine’s forte. Only a radical initiative has yet to be attempted!

At the same time, we realize that Greta is unhappy with Kelly, who has more faults than strengths, but her resentment for being – in her view – disrespected by Sheila, moves her aggressively. Greta is a character that will not have time to be developed properly. She has the opposite problem of bulimia, but is just as vulnerable as Sheila and has projected herself onto her friend. Not healthy, right? And for those who pretend to be understandable, Greta is one of Sheila’s toughest opponents. Her opposition to everyone she associates with suggests an unrequited passion and a deeper problem. For now, she is only in the material part.

On the side of John Bree (Paul Sparks), there is something shocking: while taking care of his daughter and taking her to the doctor, he discovers that he is not the biological father of the child. Therefore, by “cheating” on his wife with Sheila, he was not alone in lying. What will you do with the revelation? Talking about truths, Danny is finally moving on with his life, except that his new love interest is too close to home, as she is Sheila’s personal assistant. Not a good start.
Revelations seem to be the theme of the episode. Sheila surprises everyone on live TV when she confesses the whole truth about her bulimia and why exercise helps her, moreover, that there are no shortcuts to a cure. People’s reaction to shock (and negativity) is unexpected. But it is Greta who reacts the worst: she sees the initiative only as a personal attack, once again ignoring Sheila’s despair. The war, she warns, has just begun.
