There is the good news that season 4 of Only Murders in the Building is confirmed. The bad news is that we will have to wait more than a year to solve another crime in Arconia! This, the strikes of writers and actors are still unfinished in Hollywood, which is hindering recordings even more. And, as always, we already know who dies, but… and who did the killing?

As I said… I already have my theories, after all, who wanted to kill Charles (Steve Martin)? From what we saw, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) paid the price for being the actor’s stunt double.

Let’s review who Sazz is?

Sazz Pataki was Charles’ stunt double on Brazzos for years. She and he have a complex friendship, after all in the past Cookie, Charles’s girlfriend at the time, cheated on him with Sazz, with whom she lived for twenty years. Without any regrets, the two meet annually.

In the first season, Sazz helped with the investigation into Tim Kono’s death, suggesting – correctly – that it was a crime of passion. There was a certain tension between her and Jan (Amy Ryan), and Charles, traumatized by the past, became jealous, but the two ended up making amends. It’s not the same fate as Jan because Charles asks Sazz to break up with his girlfriend for him, provoking the song’s anger. Pay attention, here is one of the tips for me as to the possible culprit.

In season three, when Charles accidentally becomes engaged to Joy (Andrea Martin), Sazz shows up to celebrate, just when there is a crisis between them. After Jan, Charles believes that Joy killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) and it is his double who, using game tactics, manages to make the actor realize (too late) that it was his fear of being happy that sabotaged the relationship. Too late, of course.

Egocentric like Charles, Sazz is intelligent and even arrogant, and in her last conversation with Charles, she warns him that she needs to talk about something “delicate”. When she goes into his apartment to get more shooting, a bullet is fired through a window and hits the stuntwoman in the heart. So the first question is: who wanted to kill Charles?

Jan or Joy?

The two exes hold grudges against Charles. Jan was trapped, but she may have gotten out. And Joy, even though she was dating Scott Bakula, felt humiliated (for some reason) by the actor, who made her believe that she wanted to get married, but was trying to end the relationship. What’s more, he put her on the list of suspects for killing Ben!

These are the first two on the list, but are we going to include others? For fun?

Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) desperately wants to return to true crime podcasting. Would she be able to “create” the agenda, as was suspected in the second season?

Matthew Broderick… you may laugh, but Matthew wanted the role of Charles in Death Rattle Dazzle and was unceremoniously replaced by Oliver (Martin Short) when he revealed himself to be intense and a perfectionist and could be jealous. I want to see him interviewed by Detective Donna Williams (Da’Vine Joy Randolph)! That alone is worth the scene to rule him out of the suspects.

I only put Teddy Dimas (Nathan Lane) on the list because 1) he lives in Arconia and 2) I want him back!
