Well folks, after wearing a FARM dress (a well-known brand in Rio) in the dinner episode with Tobert (Jesse James), Mabel (Selena Gomez) ended the third season remaining the Queen of Style.

In Only Murders in the Building what was never a crime was Mabel’s style: impeccable. Costume designer Dana Covarrubias designed the looks that are now part of the series’ signature. In each episode, our discreet podcaster always wears interesting sweaters or incredible combinations. Never makes mistakes.

In the premiere, the series costume designer chose to start with flashy colors, yellow faux fur (the unforgettable coat), paint-splattered jeans, rainbow knits, pink feathers, crimson vinyl, and white shearling for a Mabel dealing with the pain of her past. The costumes were, as Dana explained to Elle, her armor, without losing the goal of making her intriguing.

The strong colors remained present in the second season, but with a more adventurous touch where blue prevailed, mixed with red and gold tones. In the third season, Mabel opted for more “professional” outfits, elegant and still practical. We can notice that in her meetings with Tobert, Mabel also started to focus on cleavage.

But it’s Badgley Mischka‘s gold dress that won me over. My favorite of the season! With the confirmation that we will have the fourth, we can only speculate who killed Sazz (or tried to kill) and what Mabel will wear!!! Great sport!
