Tonight is the night of the SAG Awards, the Screen Actors Guild award, but what we really want to know is: whoever wins today is guaranteed an Oscar?

Well, the Academy party is still the one that “matters”, but every year it becomes more predictable. Why? For the multiple awards that are also broadcast live and that only repeat the nominees’ ad nauseaum from January to March. And then we all had a “fever”, measuring temperatures and comparing thermometers. The result is that when the Oscars come, it is the Academy party that we call boring, repetitive, and predictable. Is it really fair?

And what is the solution? Just anticipating the party and there is no more date available on the calendar, apparently.

That said: tonight is the night of the SAG Awards, which is, effectively, “the” Oscar thermometer because the same people are voting. And you don’t even need a crystal ball: Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer, Oppenheimer…
