I don’t usually say bad things about series or films, if I don’t like them I ignore them. But Death and Other Details is one of the WORST things made for TV in recent years, which finally came to an end after torturing us for months and which – God! – left an open return. No! No! No!

In a kind of Agatha Christie-style with pretentious, almost childish language and plots, the series debuted at a good time but quickly failed to engage an interested audience. Unsurprisingly, with an arrogant protagonist and twists that were nothing “incredible”, they were just pranks to trick us and force us to follow the story until the end.
After making us change every week who the big villain Victor Sams could be, it was the most unexpected (and pointless).

There were 10 long episodes, at least four deaths for us to discover that Victor Sams was always before our eyes. Actually, he wasn’t, but with all the plot twists he’s smarter than Kaiser Soze. It all started with the death of Imogene’s mother, Kira, and later, Rufus’ right-hand man, Danny. Rufus never managed to solve Kira’s death and was far from solving Danmy’s, but of course, they are interconnected.
Because of a perfect mother, Kira became the most bizarre and anti-logical villain in any story, trying to fake her death, traumatizing her daughter but still determined on revenge. She was Victor Sams, leaving Imogene behind. And we need 10 episodes to know that. Obviously, it didn’t matter and the discovery was just ridiculous.

Scarily Death and Other Details has every appearance that it will have a second season, even with some of the worst scripts and cast in many years on TV. It’s rubbish.
The season ends with Kira/Sims’ partners still active and Imogene, Teddy, Leila, and Jules discovering a new corpse while skiing. Who would it be?
Does anyone care? I hope the mystery remains. If you don’t have many hours to waste, skip this series, it’s not worth a single second. Too bad.
