House of the Dragon season 2 leaks: Reddit

Every season is the same, of course. In the case of House of the Dragon, because it comes from a book and the story has a beginning, middle, and end, it is ironic to talk about spoilers and leaks, but, as they gave space to the lines… everything changes.

There are just over two months left until the premiere (around 77 days), so it’s worth reviewing the leaks that Reddit took seriously, as they could define the order of the episodes and have some surprises. Shall we review?

Version 2: Leaked scenes

1- Rhaenyra and Daemon fly to Shipbreaker’s Bay in search of Lucaerys’ remains.
Rhaenyra waits on the beach with Syrax while Daemon flies into the waters and only finds pieces of Luke’s cloak and pieces of Arrax, all saved by a fisherman in a boat. Ramin Djwadi’s dark music will feature prominently. Rhaenyra has an emotional breakdown when the remains are shown to her.

This scene should be the season opener and was hinted at in the trailer.

2- Helaena, Otto, the children, Alicent, and Criston. Helaena plays with her children while Alicent and Otto are tense and Criston is next to them. They wonder why Aemond is taking so long and discuss whether or not a raven should be sent for Daeron to return to King’s Landing (he was absent in Season 1 without even being mentioned). Alicent starts playing with her nails, like she did as a young girl. Arryk enters, announcing Prince Aemond’s return.

3- The Green Council. Aemond has just explained Luke’s death, but we don’t hear him recount what happened, although the image suggests regret. Alicent is pale and horrified, she screams: “Mother, have mercy on us all”. With cold fury, Otto asks: “You only lost one eye, how could you be so blind?” Exactly like in the book.

Aemond remains stone-faced and he begins to respond when a drunken Aegon is dragged into the room by the guards. The King already knows and laughs at the expression on everyone’s faces because for once he is not the source of trouble. Aegon declares that there will be a party to celebrate his nephew’s death, which is a provocation to Aemond as well, even if it is an ostensible defense of his actions. If so, it is very different from the book where Aemond purposely kills Lucaerys and is as happy as Aegon.

4- Aemond storms out and returns to Helaena’s rooms, to whom he opens up and clearly appears dejected/mortified. His sister comforts him and the children are in the background.

5 – Jace lands in the Vale and goes straight to Eyrie’s throne room, where he argues with Jeyne Arryn for her mother’s defense, but Jeyne expresses her extreme disdain for Daemon and is inclined to support the Greens. This is when Jace appeals to the kinship they share and gradually wins him over. A servant enters the room and hands a letter to Jeyne. She reads it and a change comes over her face. She meets Jace’s eyes with pity.

6- Aegon’s banquet. Aegon is the only one genuinely happy about the start of the War, Alicent is mortified, Otto struggles to control his rage, and Aemond remains impassive while Aegon drinks and makes jokes. Helaena, ignoring the spectacle, shows the children her insects. A servant enters with Rhaenyra’s message: “Queen Rhaenyra has rejected her terms. She will have her throne or she will have the head of Prince Aegon.” The King laughs even more. Otto announces that it is time and sends for Daeron and Gwayne who are in Old Town.

7- The funeral for Luke with what was found in Shipbreaker’s Bay in place of his body. Everyone is sad.

8- The black council has a tense meeting after the funeral. There are ongoing debates about the next course of action, but Rhaenyra and Daemon are finally on the same page.

r hard on the Greens. During the meeting, news arrives of Aegon’s banquet and Rhaenyra angrily asks to be left alone. She swears an oath of revenge and Daemon promises: “An eye for an eye, a son for a son, Lucaerys will be avenged.” Rhaenyra expresses approval but doesn’t ask what he means.

9- Daemon sneaks into King’s Landing and hires Blood. He also manages to reunite with Myseria, surprised to discover that her establishment has been burned to the ground. Myseria is more than eager to help you find someone who can infiltrate the red fortress with blood.

10- Blood and Cheese enter the red fortress. Alicent is tied up and gagged. Helaena begs and pleads for her children’s lives. Blood insists she chooses one and threatens to hurt Jaehaera. Finally, she gives in and chooses Maelor because he is just a baby. Blood laughs and cuts off Jaehaerys’ head. The screen fades to black as Halaena screams and cries.

The controversial meeting

Lately, social media can’t agree on a leak that says Alicent and Rhaenyra will meet in Dragonstone, which makes no sense in the plot or book.

However, a picture of a page of the script suggest it’s happening.

Or, their reunion will only be when Rhaenyra takes the throne and takes Alicent prisoner. As it was in the book.

But… what do we know?
