Rhaenyra’s Lady in Waiting: Elinda

Actress Jordon Stevens will play Elinda Massey, lady-in-waiting to Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) during the Dance of the Dragons. So far, as a Princess, Rhaenyra does not have a group of women surrounding her – at least we haven’t seen it prominently – which will change now that she is Queen. Elinda is described as ‘the youngest and kindest of Rhaenyra’s ladies-in-waiting’, one of four women who went to Dragonstone with the princess.

There is a painful spoiler, which will highlight Elinda: she will supposedly be so desperate that she will witness (Rhaenyra being devoured by Sunfyre at Aegon’s command) and after the death of her queen, she and the other three ladies-in-waiting will be imprisoned in cells until they are rescued by Cregan Stark. But Elinda will have “gouged out her own eyes”.

Aemond Targaryen’s future love: Alys Rivers

I’ve already posted about Alys Rivers’ trajectory, described as a mysterious 40-year-old woman, and will bring a paradox to the Targaryens’ civil conflict. In the second season, she will have a quick participation in just four episodes, as Gayle Rankin, who will steal the show, we know.

Support for the Greens: Jasper Wylde

Jasper Wylde, called Ironrod, will be the Master of Laws, for Aegon, one of the Lords considered traitors by Rhaenyra. Played by Paul Kennedy, Wylde will survive only to be executed by the blacks in season 3. After all, being a sexist, he supports the priority of the male lineage on the Throne.

However, in the third season, we will see that he will try to advise Prince Regent Aemond Targaryen to exercise caution and summon Lord Ormund Hightower and Prince Daeron Targaryen to return. But of course, it will be ignored.

Turned to Ashes: Ser Steffon Darklyn

Anthony Flanagan will play Steffon Darklyn, a member of the Kingsguard who will be faithful to Rhaenyra and was already present at her coronation. Steffon will attempt to ride Seasmoke during the Seeding but will be burned to death by the dragon. A scene is difficult to forget.

We quickly saw the owner of the brothel, who knows about Aegon’s special tastes and who apparently knows a lot about Aemond’s sexual tastes too. Well, she will be back.
