As expected, the first half of 2024 would reflect Hollywood’s shutdown in 2023 and, even though it wasn’t as tough as anticipated (we had some great releases!), the list of June releases confirms that the “drought” ends as soon as May ends. Doubt? We will see.
Of course, we have to remember that between January and May, some of the biggest critical and public successes will have a chance at the Emmys later this year, titles like Shogun, Baby Reindeer, Ripley, and Feud: Capote Versus The Swans, to name a few. Update your schedule!

June 2: Billy the Kid
MGM Plus inherited the Lionsgate Plus collection, so we’ll look here. The second part of the period and historical series about Billy the Kid‘s youth, written by Michael Hirst, from Vikings.

The debut season was consistent, with good drama and good acting, but kind of off the general public’s radar. To see if production ends here or if we continue with this western.
June 4: Star Wars – Acolyte

Disney Plus brings the thriller with dark secrets and emerging powers of the dark side in the final days of the High Republic era, with cast and characters new to the franchise, mostly women and in a new part of the Star Wars timeline
June 12: Presumed Innocent

Although Apple TV Plus is a Sci-Fi content platform, it is betting on the remake of a somewhat forgotten film from the 1990s, with Jake Gyllenhaal in the role that once belonged to Harrison Ford. The premiere was brought forward to get out of the shadow of House of the Dragon. There’s no chance even if it premieres a few days before.
June 13: The Boys and Bridgerton (part 2)

Here are highly successful series sharing their release day: The Boys, from Amazon Prime Video, and the second part of the third season of Bridgerton, a Netflix phenomenon and a month after the first part, have different audiences, there will be no major crises. But if I need to bet on one, I’ll go with the romanticism of Shonda Rhimes‘ universe.
June 16: House of the Dragon

The premiere of the year, there are only eight episodes but a remarkable part of the series House of The Dragon, on MAX. There is no way to disappoint!
June 27: The Bear

The award-winning series, The Bear closes June with its third season, now on Disney Plus, as there will no longer be Star Plus. We said goodbye to our Chef at the height of a personal crisis, how will he resolve it? We’ll see! Yes, Chef!
