If there is one confirmed star of Interview with the Vampire, it is Australian-born Sam Reid who finally brought to the screen the true essence of Lestat du Lioncourt, the seductive vampire turned Rock Star.

After the second season of the series, it was clear that they would follow the order of the books and the third season will be based on the best-selling Vampire Lestat. And yes, Sam is impossibly handsome and fun in the teaser that was released at Comicon San Diego 2024. A teaser in which we already heard a hit by Lestar, the rocker.

“I’m taking a lot of drugs and they’re taking me on a private plane,” Sam Reid joked in the interview at the event, about how he is preparing for the new stage. To think that today he is adored and praised, but two years ago he was terrified of taking on the role. “It was so stressful because, obviously, people love the movie, they love the book. It was scary,” he added.

The teaser released is simply perfect. We have the voice of journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) working on a documentary about Lestat and the vampire, famous and arrogant as ever, agreeing to be interviewed. According to showrunner Rolin Jones, the third season will explore the Devil’s Minion storyline from the books and will, of course, have a more musical side, where Sam Reid will sing himself. Judging by the teaser, it will be sensational.
