Lilly Collins’s Resemblance to Audrey Hepburn: The Influence on Emily in Paris

The shadow of a legend of cinema and pop culture does not scare actress Lilly Collins, who has been compared to Audrey Hepburn since she was a child. Whether it’s because of her thick eyebrows, her fair skin, or her energy, this parallel seems almost like an obsession.

The i team embraced the resemblance between the two, creating scenes in the series that refer to Audrey’s films, from Breakfast at Tiffany‘s to Funny Face, or even My Fair Lady, with the next references coming from Roman Holiday and Charade.

Even Lilly’s father-in-law, actor Malcolm McDowell, finds the resemblance between the two striking. Naturally, the actress loves and confesses that she has always been “obsessed” with Audrey, making this clear in photo shoots and on her social media.

In fact, the look of Charade is the most obvious of all in the Netflix series: the glasses worn by Lilly are the exact same model as Audrey’s (and the coat too!) and she admits that she gets goosebumps when she puts them on to film.

On the other hand, critics consider this constant homage to be a push by Lilly Collins to take the next step and play Audrey Hepburn in the movies, something that slipped through her fingers and ended up in the hands of Rooney Mara, who was chosen for the biopic of the legendary actress, still in development. Was it a missed opportunity for the producers? Probably…

In the meantime, we await the second part of the 4th season of Emily in Paris, in which Emily Cooper will spend a few days in Rome… what will she get up to in Italy?
