There are countless challenges nowadays to be surprised by almost anything, especially in times when adaptations of books or comics, real stories, and remakes take priority in theaters or platforms. Thus, Marvel fans have already figured out from afar the mysteries about two characters from Agatha All Along whose true identities were revealed by Funko and its figures. Yes, we are talking about SPOILERS.

In phase 5 of the franchise, with new heroes and antagonists organizing themselves in the multiverses, the celebration is to cross characters in unexpected ways. To this end, some anti-heroes transit in different moments, such as Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) who is linked to the Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange, and the Fantastic Four.
Since her reappearance in her own series, Agatha has still been trapped in a spell and has no idea who she is. The arrival of Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza), who has irritated her from the beginning, has been generating immediate speculation. Rio clearly has an unresolved relationship with the witch, and is interested in Agatha regaining her powers and wants to not only kill her but anyone else in her way as well. Agatha never says her name, trying to avoid her, but the most attentive ones have figured out the truth.

Fans were quick to deduce that Rio Vidal is none other than Lady Death, a cosmic entity who poses as Eternity’s twin sister. Dangerous, she was Thanos’s, who would have mentioned her in her first appearance, in 2012. Eternity made her MCU debut in Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022, when Gorr, the God Butcher, tried to eradicate the Gods from the universe, but instead chose to resurrect his daughter, Love, which Eternity did with ease.
In Agatha All Along, when Agatha recovers her memory, Rio Vidal reveals the real reason why he is in Westview: he wants revenge against her. For now, as much as he wants and even tries to, Rio is not allowed to kill Agatha because the Salem Seven have priority. Agatha gains time trying to recover her powers before the confrontation with her ex-girlfriend.
Also, as we know from WandaVision, Agatha is not one to follow rules. She was put on trial in Salem for practicing forbidden black magic, even if “accidentally”. To escape, Agatha takes away the powers of her executioners and has been improving herself ever since.

Now that she is on the witches’ trail with Agatha, Rio is plaguing the group’s lives and waiting, as Agatha revealed, for the chance to kill and take the witches’ bodies. With this hint and also the Funko doll, which has already placed Rio as Lady Death, the spoiler is inevitable.
The character, who has been part of Marvel for over 50 years, connects the stories not only of Thanos and Agatha Harkness but also of Deadpool and other unexpected characters.
Lady Death is the personification of death itself, which means she has a level of power above the others. She is usually portrayed as a skeleton in a black or purple cloak, but she can take on practically any form she wants and her favorite is the human form of a woman. And no, she cannot be permanently hurt because she is immortal, but she can kill and resurrect whoever she wants.

The confirmation that Rio Vidal (Audrey Plaza) is Lady Death means that the actress will be seen in the various films and series of the franchise. She warned the other witches that she was not “a” green witch, but “THE” witch. She is the greatest of them all, which is why the ever-sly Agatha is playing the seduction game with her and is using the Darkhold to hide.
Considering that we are already halfway through the season, the confirmation will come soon. And with it, a closer future alongside Thanos, Deadpool, and many more.
