We love deciphering crimes and following the low-lifes of the White Lotus hotel chain, but I hope that even with independent stories we start the third season acknowledging among guests that the last few years have been marked by unexpected criminal events around the world for those who spend a few days at the hotel. Whether in Hawaii or Sicily, a stabbed manager and a pile of bodies on the beach are not the best marketing. Even though we love it!

And on February 16th we return to the conspiracies of “who died”, “who killed” and “how did they kill”, our favorite pastime with one of the most awarded series on TV in the last four years. I’m excited!

There’s been a lot of speculation that the three seasons will somehow connect, but in the trailer, the only one familiar is Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), the employee of the Hawaiian arm of the chain who had a connection with Tanya McQuoid (Jenniffer Coolidge), who ended up escaping being murdered in Sicily only to fall off the boat, hit her head and drown. Yes, while staying at The White Lotus in Italy.

A few loose ends of this mystery are left untied, and I doubt Mike White will ignore them. On this third trip, we go to Thailand where the social satire of the guests of the Thai resort follows their mishaps and the employees over the course of a week. And yes, from the trailer we can confirm: someone in the group doesn’t leave there alive.

Max shared the profiles of some of the main names, shall we start getting acquainted with them?

KATE (Leslie Bibb) is one of three longtime friends on a girls’ trip after not seeing each other for a while. From what we see in the trailer, Jacklyn is in the mood to make the most of her week with a lot of flirting.

RICK HATCHETT (Walton Goggins) is accompanied by his younger girlfriend, CHELSEA (Aimee Lou Wood), who is more relaxed and enjoying the trip, while he is a nervous wreck.

They cross paths with PIPER RATLIFF (Sarah Catherine Hook), a college senior and the middle daughter of Timothy (Jason Isaacs) and Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey), Piper is a religious studies major and the sister of LOCHLAN (Sam Nivola), described as “a high school senior,” and SAXON (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Timothy and Victoria Ratliff’s eldest son, who works for his father’s successful company.

Among the local staff, we’ll meet MOOK (Lalisa Manobal), one of the health mentors for guests staying at The White Lotus, SRITALA (Lek Patravadi), one of the owners of The White Lotus and the visionary behind its wellness program, and GAITOK (Tayme Thapthimthong), a security guard at The White Lotus. And of course, we’ll meet Belinda, the spa manager at The White Lotus in Hawaii who is doing an internship in Thailand.
