On Sunday we will know the big reveal of the first season of Dune: Prophecy. That’s right, all the actors chose the final episode as the most surprising, so the fact that Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel) is the son of Tula (Olivia Williams) is not the most important thing. We will have more. What could it be?
Well, there is nothing to worry about because today Max has already confirmed that we will have a new season, but although they have not said, do not expect it to be before 2026. The platform has its content divided into even and odd numbers, so just as Dune: Prophecy still has to record, the same will happen with House of the Dragon. The difference is that Westeros is planning to start recording in the first half of 2025, that is, it could start at the end of next year or at the beginning of the next. Will it?

“How the sisterhood survives is an important part of season two,” said showrunner Alison Schapker. We’ll certainly see how Tula and Valya (Emily Watson) deal with the conflicts between them, including a child that neither of them suspected had survived.
Desmond, we know, has his days numbered, even if they’re spread out over seasons, but he’s unlikely to win the fight. Since Alison was inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, but follows it in the series (Desmond is her invention, for example), it’s unclear whether we’ll get the biggest spoiler of all, which is Valya killing Tula at some point in the future (with poison).

Another series that’s confirmed to return is The Day of the Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne. We said goodbye to our sociopathic antihero with two people on his revenge list: his ex-wife and Timothy Winthrop (Charles Dance), who not only didn’t pay what he owed but also ordered his death. I’m on Charlie’s side, sorry for my lack of ethics!
Another good news for some time in 2026 is the return of Black Doves, one of my favorite series of the year, without a doubt. And of all, after all, it was in the Top 10 in 92 countries. According to Keira Knightley, without revealing details, the next part of the story will focus on everyone’s personal stories, including how Helen and Wallace’s (Andrew Buchan) marriage will turn out, without forgetting the traumas of Michael (Omari Douglas) and Sam (Ben Whishaw). I miss them all so much.
