Filming has already wrapped, and we are already in the countdown to the Peaky Blinders movie, which, at this point, may have radically changed what we expected to be the story’s direction. And we don’t have any help from Steven Knight, who doesn’t reveal much about the Shelbys’ future.

In 2025 we will hear his name a lot because in addition to the movie that fans have been waiting for for years, he is behind A Thousand Blows, a Victorian boxing drama set in London starring Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty and Malachi Kirby and the series House of Guinness, made for Netflix about the Guinness family in the 1870s. In fact, Knight is one of the showrunners who likes to use real stories to create incredible series.
When The Immortal Man, which is the movie we call Peaky Blinders, hits Netflix after the cinemas, it will finally conclude the journey of Tommy Shelby. This role made Cillian Murphy a beloved actor around the world. The fact that, despite being in demand and with an Oscar, he agreed to return to the role shows that the actor is true to his word.

We know that the story is set during the Second World War, but nothing has been revealed about the appearances of Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Rebecca Ferguson in unannounced roles. Barry was seen wearing the “Peaky Blinders beret” and in a scene with Cillian, but the rest remains a secret.
Peaky Blinders aired for six seasons over nine years and ended with Tommy, who was tricked into believing he had a terminal illness, surviving an assassination attempt orchestrated by his own nephew before killing him and moving on to a new life. In the first images of Cillian on set, Tommy is seen covered in mud, riding a horse (which is reminiscent of the opening of the series). Later, quite injured, he was seen filming with Rebecca, who appears to be a gypsy.

Barry and Tim were seen filming with Sophie Rundle, who returns as Ada Shelby, but it is not possible to understand the dynamics between them.
One of the celebrated news is that there are spin-offs of Peaky Blinders being developed. For Knight, there is nothing like a real story on the screen. “Reality is more random and chaotic,” he said in an interview. “The things that attract me are, first of all, the truth, true stories, but also always trying to find heroes who are trying to escape, trying to get to a better place for themselves,” he explained. “The best situation is when it is good people doing bad things for a good reason, then I think you have the basis for drama.”
Let’s see Tommy’s twists and turns in the film!
