The Return of Ted Lasso!

For those who Believe, the wait is justified: Ted Lasso, our most effective coach in the game of life, is back. Apple TV has shared the first official image from the series, showing Ted reunited with Rebecca, Keeley, and Higgins.

The confirmed good news is that he will be called upon by his friends to help them in the Women’s Football League, coaching a second-division women’s team. Filming began today, July 21, 2025, so the new season is expected to hit the platform in early 2026.

Production starts in Kansas City, hometown of Jason Sudeikis, in the United States, and will later move to London. Returning from the original cast are Sudeikis, of course, along with Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Jeremy Swift, and Brendan Hunt, joined by new characters and fresh challenges for AFC Richmond. Throughout the season, Ted and the team will learn to act fast, taking risks they never imagined facing.

Among the newcomers are Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely, who plays Henry, Ted’s son.

When it first premiered during the pandemic, Ted Lasso became a global phenomenon, breaking viewership records and winning numerous awards. Sudeikis had originally envisioned his alter ego’s story being told in just four seasons — and didn’t change his mind even under pressure to continue. Now, after a break, he brings Ted Lasso back in a new chapter. There will be comparisons, complaints, and debates, but we believe in the series. May time fly!
