Season 4 of Ted Lasso is officially underway, and London is once again the home of AFC Richmond. The first signs appeared in Teddington, in the city’s west, with production trucks, “set” signs, and that unmistakable buzz that immediately catches the attention of locals. Richmond — now practically synonymous with the series — is also expected to host filming, though no scenes have yet been confirmed there.
Jason Sudeikis has already been spotted on set wearing Ted’s iconic blue sweater, walking through the neighborhood in full character. One scene reportedly shows him taking Henry to school, with young actor Grant Feely (playing Ted’s son) also seen filming nearby. Fans were also delighted to see Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca) and Brett Goldstein (Roy) back on set together, proving that the old Richmond chemistry is alive and well.

The main cast has returned: Sudeikis, Waddingham, Juno Temple (Keeley), Goldstein, Jeremy Swift (Higgins), and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard). New faces include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. One absence will be Phil Dunster, who won’t return as a regular due to another project, though he may appear as a guest.
Behind the scenes, there’s also chatter about Nick Mohammed (Nate), who has often been seen in Richmond. He clarified, however, that this is simply because he has lived in the neighborhood since 2014 — not an official confirmation of his return to the show. What is certain is that filming has reignited curiosity and excitement. After all, Ted Lasso isn’t just a series anymore: it’s a cultural phenomenon, and any hint of new activity in London is already cause for celebration among fans.
