After Camilla White announced her plan to turn the Arconia into “Club Camilla” — even resorting to armed threats — it was only natural that we’d get an episode to understand her better and see what’s truly at stake for her, both materially and emotionally.
To the sound of Carmina Burana, we hear her musing about how, in a patriarchal society, luck has always been associated with being a lady. And therefore, when men “lose,” it’s simply because they’re unlucky. All of this unfolds in a flashback set two years earlier, when Camilla — always winning at Nicky’s casino — was obsessed with beauty and victory. Her dream was to host at least one night where only women were allowed inside. As we can tell, she and Nicky embarked on an extramarital affair.

Back in the present, now reconciled with Mabel, Thé invites her to a VIP event she’s been invited to: a women-only night at the Arconia, organized by none other than Camilla White.
Meanwhile, in the lobby, Charles and Oliver are conducting another investigation: out of 165 apartments in the building, Camilla has already bought 82 — meaning she owns 49%. One more purchase, and she’ll control 51% of the Arconia. They’re determined to stop her, though Oliver confides that he’s facing another problem. Loretta wants him to leave the building and start a new life with her somewhere else, but Oliver wants to stall for time and postpone his decision. While Randall agrees to look into who else might be selling to the billionaire, Mabel tells them about the golden opportunity the girls’ night represents.
Confused as to why the two men are so excited — after all, they can’t attend — Mabel listens as they explain their theory: without men around, women talk more freely, and Mabel might be able to bond with Camilla and extract information. Randall suggests that Charles and Oliver go in disguise, but Oliver refuses to pull a Tootsie move (the 1980s film where Dustin Hoffman earned an Oscar nomination playing an actor who cross-dresses to get a job). Still, Oliver has a plan.
The plan is to ask for Loretta’s help — she’s still at the airport because flights are canceled, but she agrees immediately. To everyone’s surprise, she shows up with Detective Williams in tow (her flight was canceled, too). Williams announces that she’s joining the mission to ensure Camilla’s confession is recorded. She claims she’s great at cards and intends to make Camilla lose enough to spill the truth.
As they strategize, Williams notices that Charles knows card tricks. He admits he used to help his mother cheat when he was a kid — “it was the only way to earn her affection,” he says. The detective nails it: “There’s your addiction to seductive villains,” she says dryly. “You had a dishonest mother who only loved you when you helped her cheat.” In other words, for Charles, love only counts if it comes from a criminal. Freud would be proud.
As a plan B, in case Williams’ approach fails, Loretta suggests “talking to ghosts” — in other words, using her “medium skills,” which horrifies Oliver. In fact, Loretta had read in a profile that the billionaire believes herself to be the reincarnation of her grandmother, hence her constant use of gloves (as a tribute).

All dressed to the nines, Mabel and Loretta head to the casino, but bump into Lorraine in the lobby. Lorraine claims she “wants to help” and can’t sleep — suspicious, if you ask me, but not this week’s culprit. Loretta explains they’re about to confront Camilla, whom they believe to be the killer, and of course, the widow insists on joining. Williams isn’t thrilled but allows it, reminding everyone to keep smiling and act like they’re having fun. Just before entering, the detective spots a casino employee wandering around the Arconia and decides to improvise.
Meanwhile, Charles and Oliver are knocking on doors to convince residents not to sell, but the building is nearly deserted — Camilla has already acquired almost all the units. To stop Dr. Stanley from selling, they take him out for drinks and, somehow, end up in a makeshift couples therapy session to talk him out of it.
At the casino, Mabel, Loretta, and Lorraine split up so Camilla doesn’t realize they’re working together. Williams goes undercover as a croupier. Soon, Camilla arrives for a round of blackjack. Loretta joins them, using a fake accent, and the game begins. With marked cards, Camilla loses every round — until she catches on and improvises too (to Williams’ despair). Accusing the detective of cheating, Camilla throws her out of the casino. That’s when Loretta steps in with her “medium act,” and a connection sparks between the two women.

Camilla recalls her affair with Nicky and how she wanted him to support her plan to buy the Arconia. The mobster reminds her that the casino is part of Sofia’s family business — and that he loves his wife. Camilla is visibly furious.
Lorraine can’t keep up the charade, and she and Mabel leave the casino. In the lobby, Lorraine sadly mentions the missing elevator crank that Lester always kept nearby — another clue.
Unable to stay in the game, Williams joins Charles and Oliver’s “therapy” with Dr. Stanley. Charles opens up, admitting he envies Oliver’s relationship with Loretta. Oliver, in turn, confesses that he’s scared of starting over. Taking charge, Williams gets Dr. Stanley to admit that he planned to sell his apartment because he was afraid of ending up alone. He’s changed his mind — but it’s too late: it’s past midnight, and the sale is complete.
Loretta keeps Camilla talking, hoping for a confession that she killed Lester or Nicky. In another flashback, we see Nicky choosing to stay with Camilla after discovering that Sofia was cheating on him. Crying, Camilla laments that Nicky was murdered — so she’s not the killer — but mutters, “That damned doorman.” Before explaining what Lester had to do with it, she gets the call confirming she’s now the owner of the Arconia. “I won!” she cheers and leaves.
Alone with Lorraine, Mabel laments the wave of defeats: she’s lost the podcast, the Arconia, and all her plans. She’s interested in Jay but afraid he might be the killer. Lorraine encourages her to give the billionaire a chance — if he’s not guilty. With Lester’s bird whistle in hand, the two women look out over the Arconia.

In his apartment, Vince (who used to birdwatch with Lester) receives a suspicious text from “Byrdee,” saying there’s a thrush in the Arconia courtyard.
Loretta regrets not getting a confession from Camilla but shares what she learned: Nicky was going to be Camilla’s business partner in the Arconia — even though it belonged to Sofia’s family — after discovering Sofia’s affair. Camilla badmouthed Lester, raising suspicions that the doorman was more involved than anyone thought. Oh, and Loretta also found the elevator crank — covered in blood — confirming it as the murder weapon. Oliver admits he doesn’t want to leave the Arconia, and Loretta encourages him to keep fighting for the apartment, agreeing to move in with him.
As if that weren’t enough, Vince rushes in with breaking news: Lester’s bird whistle, the one Lorraine used, activated his birdwatching app — and the camera Lester had installed in the courtyard. It’s footage Bash never had access to, showing what really happened the night Lester was killed. To everyone’s shock, Randall appears — finding the bloody crank and pocketing it. See? We really can’t rule anyone out.
