Landman – Season 2, Episode 3: Almost Home

Wild boar hunters open the episode. But the scene is anything but ordinary: when they reach the top of the hill, they drop dead — both prey and hunters. The disturbing detail: everything happens near a deactivated well.

Cami is in Monty’s office, surrounded by papers, completely desperate. Instead of billions, she inherited debts. And an endless headache. Luckily, Tommy was already on his way, because Angela wanted to look at new houses.

Remember that abandoned tank? Tommy’s crew goes to inspect it. They find the bodies — and barely escape a gas leak. Everyone’s headache only gets worse.

After breaking up with Cooper, Ariana goes after a job for the first time in her life. And she’s literally thrown to the lions. A group of disgusting men gets on her nerves within two minutes. Still, they say she was “born for it.”

Tommy reunites with Cooper’s dangerous “partner,” Gallino, who is pleased with the results. The trafficker talks business, numbers, strategy — nothing explicitly about drugs. As Tommy reacts impulsively, Gallino takes on an even more threatening tone. But Tommy is Tommy: he doesn’t back down.

Battling the wind, Dale waits for the help he called, while almost everyone starts getting sick from gas intoxication. It becomes a desperate race against time. The show lays bare how unknown workers risk their lives every single day to keep the world running: oil. Later, at home, Dale and Nate talk about the dangers of the job. Is it really worth it?

Tommy tries to warn Cooper not to keep drilling new sites. It’s only 11:15 a.m. — and his day is just beginning. He still has to attend his mother’s funeral. Now, alongside Cami, he tries to untangle the financial mess Monty left behind. But more than saving the numbers, Cami wants to protect her husband’s legacy. Good luck.

Tommy tries to share with Cami his own experience of having lost everything once. She must now measure how much she is truly willing to risk.

The confrontation with Alan, the money man who tries to be ironic, escalates quickly. Both Cami and Tommy raise their voices. At the club, they run into Gallino, who enjoys the show from the sidelines. And it gets worse: not only is he watching closely, but the women on both sides start getting along. Gallino steps in as if he’s about to “save” the day.

While watching stories of grand romantic gestures, Cami advises the women to cherish what they have, overwhelmed by her longing for Monty. They don’t notice that, on the side, Gallino and Tommy are speaking in code. When an opening appears, Gallino offers to help Cami. But she still doesn’t see the real problem.

On the way home, the insatiable Angela, amid fights, reconciliations, laughter, and tears, accepts yet another marriage proposal from Tommy.

Alone at home, Cami finally collapses. She screams in despair at missing her husband. Outside, the wolves howl with her.
