In mourning, Constance officially acknowledges that the body recovered is Willem’s. Even so, it’s clear she does not fully believe the story: instead of burying him beside her husband, she decides to have the body sent to rest near his grandmother — a choice that signals doubt more than devotion.
Trisha asks Garret whether he doesn’t resent Constance’s secrets and her constant lack of trust in them. Her brother replies that everyone has their secrets — including her and Elias Teller. “This will end badly,” he warns.
Overcome with grief, Trisha cries with Elias over her brother’s death. She says she feels relieved that everything is finally over, while Elias is tormented by his inability to tell her the truth. Trisha is direct: she asks whether he loves her, because only with him can she truly be herself. They kiss. Elias admits he thinks about her all the time.

Garret rehearses his funeral speech with Samara’s help. The entire town attends the service — including the Abandoned, since their absence would raise suspicion. While everyone is gathered inside the church, the town is overtaken by drunken men from the gang led by Joaquim. They are after the weapons confiscated by Constance.
The funeral erupts into a chaotic shootout, where it becomes impossible to tell who is firing at whom. Elias helps the Van Ness family escape. Many innocent people are killed. Amid the chaos, Garret notices that Miles seems familiar with the Mexican gang.
The following day, Miles confesses to his daughter that he was once a bandit, but insists he is a different man now. Love, he says, is what changed him.
Constance seeks Fiona out for a private conversation about family and “unity.” She reiterates that the town’s survival depends on exploiting the valley mines and proposes offering 45 percent of the operation to the local families. She admits she once wanted all the land but claims she is now following her husband’s example by choosing negotiation instead. Fiona calls for a vote among everyone involved.
Dahlia catches Trisha going through Elias’s belongings and asks her outright if she loves her brother.
The sheriff confronts Constance over the attack at the church, making it clear he knows she is connected to it.
Garret follows Samara and discovers Miles’s hidden weapons cache. Curious and unsettled, he asks Miles how he learned to shoot the way he does.

When they are alone, Elias tells Trisha that the vote passed unanimously. Their kisses grow more intense, and they spend the night together. Garret returns home, realizes what is happening, and storms out, heading straight to the brothel, where he arranges a night with Giselle, the madam. Meanwhile, Elias finally declares his love to Trisha.
Fiona goes to the Van Ness house to finalize the deal. Before proceeding, the two women agree to lay everything on the table as a condition for beginning to trust one another. Constance confesses everything she has done. Naturally, she wants to know about Willem.
Fiona lies.
