If 1992 was her annus horribilis, 2021 has definitely challenged that label. Poor Queen Elizabeth II, her 95th Birthday, on April 21st, is marked with deeply felt losses, solitude, isolation, family conflict, and much incertitude. She shall overcome it, as, after almost 70 years with the Crown, she sort of became the world’s Queen. People far from her realm follow her, care for her, and wish her the very best.

Usually there are official portraits to celebrate it, but she chose not to this year. Who can blame her?
