With no cast announced, Duncan and Egg already have a scheduled date to start recording

There’s so much we still want to know about the House of the Dragon universe, but this week the news that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is scheduled to begin filming in June 2024 shook social media. Like this? Who is in the cast?

Every secret surrounding the production is interesting and even suspicious. If recordings begin in four months, it means that there is a defined script and cast, as a production of this size requires planning. However, no word has been leaked onto the Internet or appears on IMDB with even the most basic information.

Does that mean it’s a lie? Not at all, it’s just suspicious. If in fact, it turns out that they have managed to achieve such secrecy, the schedule of having the series in 2025, amended it with the second season of House of the Dragon.

If they actually manage to keep the series – which has one of the fans’ favorite parts – this would confirm MAX’s strategy of having at least one Game of Thrones franchise content per year until 2030. There are several spin-offs and at least one more season of House of the Dragon, which would guarantee about six years of content.

In any case, to date, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is the only other series besides House of the Dragon that has been confirmed by the platform. The rumors about Aegon’s Conquest did not gain new information.

Meanwhile, in March the House of the Dragon team will return to the studios to re-record some sequences from the season, which suggests that what actor Matt Smith commented – that the series will only air in the second half – is likely.

As always, we’ll follow along!
