Among the Greens, there is no consensus in support for the new King

One image says IT ALL, and in the video in which Tom Glynn-Carney and Ewan Mitchell assess Aegon II’s ascension to the Iron Throne, quick seconds confirm that Alicent (Olivia Cooke), Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) and Otto Hightower (Rhys Iphans) thought that Aegon II wanted to be king and would be accepted, you might think twice. Based on the reactions of Helaena (Phia Saban) and Aemond, not even the brothers liked the idea of their brother being king in place of their half-sister, Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy).

The expressions are kind of hints of what’s to come.

Aegon, as we know, neither expected nor exactly wanted the Crown. More than the others, he may have resented the “preference” of his father, Viserys (Paddy Considine), who officially maintained his choice of Rhaenyra as his successor, so his life was one of drinking, gambling, gambling and sex ( not consented). That’s right, Aegon is the WORST choice to rule, but he is the first-born male, therefore, he has – in society’s view – priority.

Neither Aegon, Helaena nor Aemond are close to Rhaenyra, they were raised almost apart from her and were influenced by their mother to antagonize their half-sister. However, between them, it is not necessarily harmonious.

The long-suffering Helaena was forced to marry Aegon when Rhaenyra attempted to ask for her son, Jacaerys Velaryon. An evil that is made worse by the terrible nature of the son, who also did not want the marriage. The two fulfill their duties and have children, but they barely speak or interact with each other.

Aemond resents both Aegon and Rhaenyra: after all, he is a man, which makes him understand that he is better than his sister and is more prepared than his brother, more than both of them, he wants to be king. But he never will be. Your period of regency will prove that wanting is not being able…

But it is Helaena’s reaction that is the most tragic. She knows firsthand who Aegon really is, which is why she never looks at him. Only Alicent and Ser Criston bow to the new King, the new Queen looks away and only makes a quick courtesy out of obligation. Aemond, who had to rescue Aegon from the brothel so he could be crowned, looks firmly at the new king but does not lower his head.

Well, the Greens are not at all united!
