Guys, the And Just Like That team has learned to overcome the fact that fans and the press follow external recordings and thus discover spoilers for the season. In the recordings that have been taking place since May 2024, few things have actually been discovered. Yes, I said “few”, but there are important tips. Shall we update?

Who dies?

When the series returned in 2021, the script was leaked and each scene allowed us to suspect what would happen. However, although a funeral was in the spotlight, no one knew who would die, with many, including moi-même, betting that they would kill Samantha (Kim Cattrall). It wasn’t the case. Even with the admission that a BIG character would die, as we saw Chris Noth recording and even being with Sarah Jessica Parker in Paris, we ruled out that they would kill Mr. Big and they did so in the first episode.

The season focused on Carrie’s grief and, in the second, brought Aidan (John Corbett) back, only to separate them at the end, again. The current filming in New York brings the entire cast to a new funeral, but wait, Aidan is among those present. So… who dies?

Friends bet that the funeral would be for Stanford (Willie Garson), whose unexpected death at age 57 in the middle of filming disrupted the series’ original plans. As Big had already said goodbye, and Stanford was at the funeral, the team’s choice was to give the character a one-way trip to Japan. In the second season, he announces that he will stay permanently in the East and divorces Anthony (Mario Cantone). It could be that he finally gave Stanford its irreparable send-off. Why isn’t that the case? Because of the people present.

Since they put Carrie in the emotional pillory and took away the love of her life, the second person I worried about was Aidan, but the funeral photos show that he will be among those present. Just like Anthony.

Steve (David Eigenberg) would be another potential highlight here, but even with the actor’s absence from those present, there is also a tip that exempts him from the risk. And no more suspense! I am extremely worried about Harry Goldenblat (Evan Handler). That’s right, we saw Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and multiple scenes in New York, including the funeral, but no sign of Harry. As among those present, besides Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Carrie, and Anthony, there are the Goldenblatts’ neighbors, Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), and Herbert Wexley (Christopher Jackson), it is necessary to make the association as possible. Who could bring Carrie, Seema (Sarita Choudhury), Anthony, Aidan, and the Wexleys to the same funeral? Speculations are not endless…

Who enters?

The cast of And Just Like That gained three permanent names for the new season, in addition to the already announced participation of Rosie O’Donnell. They are Logan Marshall-Green, Mehcad Brooks, and Jonathan Cake, all announced as “recurring guest stars”, meaning they are here to stay.

With this, fans try to guess that one of them could be a new romantic interest for Anthony, but Sebastiano Pigazzi remains in the cast, so it is unlikely that Giuseppe will leave the scene.

Dolly Wells is Joy, mentioned as “a colleague of Miranda” and will be the lawyer’s new romantic interest. The images of the two in a restaurant, including the presence of Brady (Niall Cunningham) suggest that Miranda will be able to be more emotionally balanced after her passion for Che (Sara Rodriguez), who permanently left the cast.

In the same sequence, we saw that Jonathan Cake recorded with Sarah Jessica Parker and even though nothing other than a dinner was recorded on camera, it could be that Aidan won the competition. After all, Carrie is once again out and about in New York at night.

When does the season premiere?

The recordings are certainly going to the final stage. Cynthia Nixon is expected on the set of The Gilded Age now in July 2024 and work on And Just Like That began in May. From the photos, there will be Carrie’s outings with Charlotte’s daughters, Miranda, Charlotte, and Seema, but no major drama has yet been gleaned from these images.

There were many externals with Nicole Ari Parker, which confirms that Lisa will gain more space in the story, as well as the return of Aidan (shouting outside Carrie’s window), so they are, for the most part, familiar faces.

When can we expect to see the series on air? I would say either in the last months of 2024 or at the turn of 2025. Obviously, we continue to follow!
