So, one of the many highlights of Bridgerton is its soundtrack, a pot-pourri of current pop songs only played by a quartet. In this case, the Vitamin String Quartet. It just broke a record of over a billion streams. Yep, BILLION.
L.A. based, the band has more than 2.75 million monthly listeners on Spotify. For years now they increase their number of followers with great music. The sound is “classical”, but the repertoire is mainly rock. Or it was, currently they play pop songs as well. And it’s fun!
They started playing together more than 20 years ago and featured in series such as House, Gossip Girl and Westworld. For Gossip Girl, for example, they were even on camera, having provided Blair’s wedding music and played Pat Benatar‘s We Belong and INXS‘ Never Tear Us Apart.
But it’s in Bridgerton that they shine the most, making us use Shazam endlessly as we needed confirmation we were thinking and singing the right songs. Like the ball in which they dance to Billie Eilish‘s Bad Guy.
The songs are great. Other songs and great moments include Wildest Dreams, by Taylor Swift and cover songs of Maroon 5, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes too.
