The advance of time in The Serpent Queen

If you’re still not following The Serpent Queen on Lionsgate+ (formerly Starz), you’re missing out on some of the best content in years. Historically accurate, reproduced with the brilliance of period reenactment, costumes, dialogues, and interpretation. Do you know perfection? It’s this series.

In this week’s episode we got a jump on time, the younger actors were replaced by the older ones (and it was a little strange that Ludivine Sagnier now looks younger than Catarina and Henry, despite Diane being 20 years older).

With the death of François I, the domestic life for the three that was balanced between Catherine, Diane, and Henry takes on another perspective. Although attentive, the future Queen still has her moments of “innocence”, but in the present too. It seems she still hasn’t realized that her daughter-in-law Mary, The Scottish Queen is an enemy. And Nahima proves to be the greatest player of all. Will it be?
