Continuing a successful series is not an easy task, but Vikings: Valhalla gave us a good 1st season on Netflix, gaining steam for a second and third! With the same concept of exploring real characters – Canute and Emma – with fictional ones like Frida (her brother, Erik, existed).

There are just over two months left for the premiere – February 25, 2023 – but we already know that we will have a dramatic Scandinavian setting and with some new faces, such as Harekr (Bradley James), the ruler of Jómsborg who is “super pagan”; Mariam (Hayat Kamille), a Syrian astronomer who connects with the Vikings; King Yaraslav the Wise (Marcin Dorocinski), ruler of Novgorod (Russia) and Elena (Sofya Lebedeva), daughter of a Russian nobleman. In other words, drama, action, and yes, romance.
