Sunday, the second season of The White Lotus comes to a close and more than one guest is not leaving Sicily… I mean, they look like they are guests, after all, they were floating on the resort’s private beach.
Although my bet is on other victims, the script heavily points to the dangers and the possibility that Tanya McQuoid (Jenniffer Coolidge) and Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) will be killed, after all, we know that there is more than one body and in the trailer, the assistant calls someone for help and warns “that something dangerous is happening”.

As the body that Daphne Sullivan (Meghann Fahy) finds on the beach is apparently that of a man, the question remains: would it be Jack (Leo Woodhall) or Quentin (Tom Hollander), or even Tanya’s husband, Greg (John Gries)? What Rocco tells Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore) is that it is “an apparent collective suicide”, which supports the script hints pointing to the millionaire. After all, the tarot reader saw death – suicide – in Tanya’s destiny, Quentin compares her to Madame Butterfly, who kills herself and he also told the story of the rich woman who refused to sell her mansion to the mafia and woke up dead, floating on the beach, where today is the resort. Quentin has also mentioned that he is broke, that he is in love with a “straight cowboy he met 30 years ago”, and that he “would do anything for him”. Nor is he Jack’s uncle, with whom he has sex, and uses to drive Portia away from Tanya. That is, everything leads to tragedy in this group, but we cannot discard the others.
Lucía (Simona Tabasco) is clearly up to no good with Alessio to get money out of the DiGrassos (Michael Imperioli, F. Murray Abraham, and Adam DiMarco). And she once had a bad feeling that “women like her always get punished in the end.”
The quartet that barely put up with each other, Daphne, Cameron (Theo James), Ethan and Harper Spiller (Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza) are also heading for a dramatic conclusion. My bet is still on them because if it’s Tanya there would be fewer surprises. But, I still think it’s Albie that Portia will be calling, so maybe he and Jack end up dead on the beach… Who do you think “stays” in Sicily?
