And Just Like That: Che and Miranda in New York

Finally! After months of shooting sequences on the streets of New York, where Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is invariably talking on her cell phone (she is the only person not using headphones to leave her hands free), we have the first sight of Che (Sara Ramirez) having lunch with the podcaster in Manhattan. No Miranda.

Carrie’s lawyer and best friend had already recorded some scenes with her, but Cynthia Nixon is one of the main directors of the season, leaving her part as an actress for the final stage. Miranda is seen walking with Carrie but without Che.

Distance does not mean problems in paradise. External sequences reveal very little about the new stage of the story. There will be a big dance, Carrie will have some scares in the street, go out to restaurants with her friends, and bump into her cool neighbor, but the main thing will be the reunion with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), her ex-fiancé.

Whatever is going on between the two, there will be a day of shopping together and the occasion when Aidan will be included in coffee with his girlfriends. Strangely, in one of the images he appears with a cigarette in his mouth. Times have changed?

There are many questions about Aidan’s return. He was one of Steve’s best friends, who was exchanged for Che, as well as being the father of two children (as he recounted in the film). His history with Carrie was overshadowed by her connection to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and now, with Big out of the picture… what could go wrong? What would Carrie’s life be like as a stepmother to teenagers?
