After four seasons with Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) self-sabotaging, sometimes when she gets what she wants, it’s already tiresome as storytelling. Maybe that’s why the final season has already traveled back in time to assure us that her life will work out very well. The price? Around 1985 she breaks up with Susie (Alex Borstein). Why? Now that is the great mystery of it all. But it doesn’t take much effort to bet on Susie’s gaming addiction that, wow, will put Joel (Michael Zegen) behind bars. Honestly? Even time travel is tiring.

It’s a shame because The Wonderful Mrs. Maisel has been needed for so long. Watching the season is just farewell for die-hard fans.
