We already have Lady Jeyne Arryn

The news rocked the fans yesterday, and as I circle between the two groups, it was a day of double celebration. Amanda Collin has been confirmed in the role of great prominence in the plot of House of the Dragon: that of Lady Jeyne Arryn. That’s right after Abubakar Salim was confirmed as Alyn Velaryon, it can already be seen that HBO, which canceled Raised by Wolves without completing the story, is ‘saving’ the cast in other prominent content. Merited!

Lady Jeyne Arryn will be vital to big moments in the series. Her controversial personality – in the book she devours both men and women – is an enigma to be deciphered. She will certainly have a stable relationship with Jessamyn Retford, her companion until the end of her life.

Jeyne is a woman of action and decision. Though she resents Daemon Targaryen, who killed her cousin, she is equally related to Rhaenyra through Aemma’s side, so she will support the queen in the fight against the greens. She was not present at Laenor Velaryon’s wedding to Rhaenyra but sent a representative to the feast. Certainly before Winterfell, she will be Jacaerys’ starting point for establishing alliances in the North and Rivers for her mother.

Amanda is an interesting actress. In Raised by Wolves, her android Mother was complex and sentimental, and before that, she was successful in Danish independent cinema. She has every inkling that she’s going to steal the spotlight in House of the Dragon. It will be amazing if there is a ‘Raised by Wolves reunion’ with Abubakar. What’s more, now fans are dreaming again with the entry of others who stood out in the series, especially Niamh Algar (could we have her as Jessamyn?) and Travis Fimmell. Since Travis is in the cast of Dune, it’s unlikely, but dreaming doesn’t cost anything!
