Artists from all over the world are paying tribute to legendary dancer Rudolf Nureyev. The short run of Nureyev: Legend and Legacy at London’s Theater Royal Drury Lane bring together stars who recall some of the dancer’s most iconic pieces.
There is no round date for September, only the desire to celebrate the legacy of the dancer considered the greatest of all time and who helped popularize ballet around the world.
The program includes highlights from Nureyev’s career, danced by Alina Cojocaru, Guillaume Côté, Oleg Ivenko, Vadim Muntagirov, Natalia Osipova, and Marcelino Sambé, among others. Each work will represent different aspects of Nureyev’s life and work. The goal is to celebrate the artist and create the opportunity to experience the Russian dancer’s talent through a new generation of dancers. Who is in London for? Unmissable.
