Quite silently and only attentive fans noticed that Slow Horses has returned to Apple TV Plus, with the MI5 gangster team once again involved with anti-terrorism investigations.

We already know the team, they don’t waste time re-introducing anyone, in fact, not even the new characters. Jack Lamb (Gary Oldman), the greatest anti-James Bond created to date, remains brilliant but is involved with River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) and a sense of team. No one is safe, and it’s a delight to try to decipher what’s going on. We’re halfway through the season and the ends aren’t tied up yet. But it already signals breath for another step!
