Halloween is approaching, and streaming has already embraced the mood. In a snapshot of FlixPatrol rankings from the night of October 23, Carrie leads Prime Video’s series chart, while Evil Dead Burn tops HBO Max’s film chart. But audiences remain interested in secret agents, power struggles and familiar stories: Slow Horses, Tulsa King and VisionQuest lead their respective platforms.
The roundup covers the positions displayed for Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video, Paramount+ and Apple TV. This snapshot supports our weekly overview, without confusing chart positions with absolute viewing figures: leading one service does not mean a title attracted more viewers than the leader on another.

Netflix: Below Holds On, but Romance Comes Close
On Netflix, Below remains prominent in first place among series. Right behind it is Nobody Wants This, followed by The Diplomat. It is an intriguing combination of interests: mystery holds the lead, but there is room for relationship complications and Kate Wyler’s political crises.
East of Eden also appears on the chart, in ninth place. For now, in this snapshot, its presence is more modest than that of the titles occupying the podium.
Among films, Animals ranks first, ahead of Armored. Horror also finds room: Evil Dead Burn appears in fifth place and Primate in sixth. A reminder that Halloween’s approach is not reflected solely on platforms where the genre holds the top spot.

HBO Max: Lanterns Leads, with Crystal Lake Close Behind
On HBO Max, Lanterns leads the series chart, followed by Crystal Lake. The pairing places a production connected to the DC universe and a horror story in the top two positions, with Collision completing the leading trio.
Youth appears in fourth place and War in fifth. The result is a varied Top 5, although the first two positions belong to brands with associations audiences already recognize.
Among films, Evil Dead Burn leads, followed by Contagion and Gremlins. The presence of Secret Window, Se7en, The Silence of the Lambs and Speak No Evil reinforces the appetite for suspense and unease. October is also an opportunity to revisit the catalog.

Disney+: VisionQuest Brings WandaVision Along
VisionQuest takes first place among Disney+ series. One particularly interesting detail is finding WandaVision in fourth: both productions appear simultaneously among the service’s highest-ranking titles.
The chart does not explain each viewer’s journey, but their coexistence suggests an interest in revisiting the earlier story as the new one unfolds. Between them are Coven Academy, in second place, and Phony, in third.
Among films, Moana leads, followed by Toy Story 5 and Lilo & Stitch. The Moana universe appears again elsewhere on the chart, while Ratatouille and Coco also make the list. This is a space where familiarity continues to carry considerable weight.

Prime Video: Carrie Faces an Action Squad
On Prime Video, Carrie ranks first among series. Behind it are The Terminal List and Neagley, while Reacher occupies sixth place. The Stephen King adaptation therefore leads a chart where action stories also have a substantial presence.
Off Campus, in fourth place, and Helluva Boss, in fifth, complete a Top 5 offering very different alternatives.
Among films, Love of Your Life leads, followed by Masterplan. The contrast with the series chart is interesting: while Carrie commands attention for horror, the top film spot goes to a romantic offering.

Paramount+: Tulsa King, South Park and MobLand
On Paramount+, Tulsa King leads the series chart, with South Park in second place and MobLand in third. Sylvester Stallone and the Harrigans share the upper reaches with an animated series that continues to find its place among the service’s productions.
Marshals, Lioness and Yellowstone occupy fourth through sixth place, respectively, reinforcing the presence of stories associated with Taylor Sheridan’s universe.
Among films, Scary Movie leads. It is another way to join October’s mood: laughing at horror conventions is part of the season, too. Diablo appears in second place, while Top Gun: Maverick maintains a Top 5 presence and Scream 7 closes the chart in tenth.

Apple TV: Slow Horses Leads, and Widow’s Bay Remains Present
On Apple TV, Slow Horses takes first place among series, followed by Ted Lasso. Dark Matter appears in fourth, Severance in sixth and Widow’s Bay in seventh.
For those who follow MiscelAna, that last appearance brings particular pleasure. My favorite series of the year continues to find room on the chart, surrounded by some of the platform’s most recognizable productions.
Among films, Tenzing leads, followed by Matchbox and Mayday. F1 takes fourth place, while The Family Plan and The Gorge also remain in the Top 10.
This week’s snapshot combines the seasonal calendar with the strength of familiar brands. Halloween helps bring visibility to horror, but espionage, comedy, and familiar stories continue competing for attention. Between new releases, audiences still find time to return to characters who have already become part of their routines.
