In March 2021, the Ginny and Georgia series pleased mothers and daughters with a more “spicy” version of The Gilmore Girls. The conflicted relationship between Georgia Miller and her firstborn, Ginny, goes through secrets and blows, but a tortuous reality that a mother does (literally) everything for her children. Until murder. That’s right, I was up in the air with the turn of the story and a negative reaction from Ginny.
Although we see Ginny (Antonia Gentry) running away from home, the synopsis says that she will face the dilemma of knowing that Georgia (Brianne Howey) is a murderer, even if she killed her stepfather to defend her. On the eve of getting married again, Georgia just wants to forget the past, something she can’t do with so many skeletons in her closet.
As we imagined, the story will start again right after the “escape”, with Georgia always moving forward without wasting time with tears. Ginny and Austin return home and have moments of drama and laughter between them. The teenager’s love life will also have its conflicts, but it is Georgia’s fiance and a job that are at risk when they discover that she embezzled money from the city hall. To make matters worse, Austin’s father is out of prison and wants retaliation for being framed by his ex for money laundering. Will she get away with it again?
Ginny & Georgia return on the 5th. To kick off 2023 with a bang.
